Known by various names, the Naga jolokia, the Bhut Jolokia, or the Ghost Chili, rolls in at 1,000,000 scoville units and is generally recognized as the hottest chili/pepper in the world.
This landrace chile originates from the northeast of India. To give you an idea of where the Jolokia falls on the Scoville Scale, it’s somewhere between Jalapeño (3,500) and a pyroclastic flow.
